We offer a variety of camp options for riders of all levels—from curious beginners to confident equestrians. Whether you’re here for the ponies, the confidence-building, or just the barn fun, there’s a camp for every rider.

Little Hooves Camp

SIGN UP

Ages: 4–7 | All Levels
(3 if independently toilet trained)
Cost: $150

Sessions:
Session 1: July 20–22 (10:00 AM–1:00 PM)
Session 2: August 10–12 (10:00 AM–1:00 PM)
Session 3: August 24–26 (10:00 AM–1:00 PM)

Overview:
Little Hooves Camp is a half day mini camp carefully designed introduction to horses and the barn environment for young riders. Safety, comfort, and individualized attention are the foundation of this program. Each camper is paired one-on-one with a dedicated instructor, allowing children to learn at an age-appropriate pace while building confidence and familiarity with horses through positive early experiences.

What the day includes:
• One-on-one guided horse interaction
• Basic horse safety education
• Grooming and simple horse care tasks
• Daily riding sessions tailored to comfort level
• Helping with feeding and bathing horses
• Simple riding games and structured barn activities
• Supervised snack breaks and rest periods
• Outdoor play and time making friends

You’ve Got It! Camp

Sessions:
Session 1: June 22–25 (9:00 AM–3:00 PM)
•Session 2: August 3–6 (9:00 AM–3:00 PM)

(Younger riders currently enrolled in a lesson program may be invited)

Overview:
You’ve Got It! Camp is an immersive barn experience designed to help riders grow in confidence, responsibility, and horsemanship. Formerly known as Girls Got It, this updated program focuses on meaningful time in the saddle paired with hands-on horse care and group learning. Campers are encouraged to unplug, spend time outdoors, and fully engage in barn life while building skills, independence, and strong peer connections in a structured, supportive environment.

What the day includes:
Our campers will participate in a full day of structured barn activities designed to support skill development, confidence, and connection.

• Daily group icebreaker
• Camp journaling and reflection
• Riding preparation
– Grooming & Tacking
• One hour of riding each day
– Group riding with campers of similar skill levels
– Private lessons for riders with no prior experience until ready for group riding
– Instructors available to support advanced riders
• Caring for horses before and after riding
– Feeding, Watering, Bathing and grazing
• Lunch break and supervised free time
• Group games and activities focused on trust, empathy, teamwork, and communication, both with and without horses
• End-of-day journal time, snack, and wrap-up

Equine Skills Camp

• July 13–16 (9:00 AM–3:00 PM)
• August 17–20 (10:00 AM–3:00 PM)

Overview:
Equine Skills Camp is a hands-on program designed to build strong riding and horsemanship foundations for riders of all experience levels. Instruction is tailored to each camper, supporting beginners while continuing to challenge more advanced riders. This camp offers a balanced mix of riding, education, and barn responsibilities in a structured learning environment.

What the day includes:
• Grooming and tacking instruction
• Daily riding lessons by experience level
• Ground work and horse handling skills
• Horse management and barn responsibilities
• Instruction on balance, control, and rider position
• Supervised lunch and rest time
• Group learning activities and instructor feedback
• Progressive skill development throughout the week

Mary’s Advanced Camp

Ages: Advanced riders
Cost: $150

Sessions:
• June 15–17 (8:00 AM–3:00 PM)
Instructor permission required | Horse ownership not required

To receive registration approval, please email Mary at shenanigansfarm@gmail.com. Once approved, you will receive a password to complete registration.

This camp is designed for advanced riders—both owners and riding school students—who are ready to be challenged beyond their current level. Riders who own their own horse or pony are strongly encouraged to participate, but ownership is not required. If you are committed to learning, open to hard work, and looking to expand your riding education, this camp is for you.

Scheduled intentionally just before the C & Pony Show, this boot camp provides focused preparation and deeper insight ahead of competition. Instruction goes beyond the standard lesson curriculum and is geared toward serious riders looking to refine skills, improve decision-making, and better understand the sport as a whole.

This is not a game- or craft-based camp.

Daily focus areas may include:
• Advanced horsemanship and horse management
• Clipping techniques and safety
• Lunging and proper lunging safety
• Braiding with a guest instructor
• Course walking with a guest instructor
• Course setting and ring strategy
• Hunter, jumper, and equitation class breakdowns
• “Judge My Ride” day with a guest judge
• Rider strengthening and conditioning
• Hands-on discussions around the costs of horse ownership and farm operations
• Safety priorities and common mistakes seen in and out of the ring

Registered riders will also be polled in advance to help tailor topics to their interests, ensuring the camp is as valuable and relevant as possible.

Camp Policies & Information

Please review the following information carefully, as it applies to all Shenanigans Farm camps.
Understanding our policies and procedures ensures a smooth, enjoyable, and most importantly—safe—experience for every camper.

  • All campers must have a signed release form on file prior to the first day of camp.

    • No refunds. Credit may be issued in certain cases.

    • ASTM/SEI-certified horseback riding helmet (no bike or ski helmets)

    • Paddock boots or hard soled shoes with a 1/4– 3/4” heel

      • paddock boots, cowgirl boots etc.

      • Tennis shoes, rubber mud boots, and high heels are not allowed.

    • No tank tops or midriff shirts while riding

  • What to Bring to Camp

    • Riding helmet (ASTM/SEI certified preferred)

    • Riding Boots. Hard sole, boots must have a heel.
      (Paddock boots, cowgirl boots etc).
      No rain boots, gym shoes, snow boots.

    • Riding clothes jeans or breeches

    • Change of weather appropriate clothing

    • Packed Lunch (all camps)

    • Water bottle

      Please label everything, and pack it in a back pack your camper can carry.

    • Drop-off: 8:45 AM for full-day camps / 9:45 AM for mini camps

    • Pick-up: 3:00 PM (full day) / 1:00 PM (mini)

    • Latchkey provided; please arrange accordingly

    • First-day welcome: Parents may stay for rules & announcements

    • The following policies are in place to protect the safety of our families, riders, staff, and horses. Shenanigans Farm is not responsible for any incidents that occur as a result of failure to follow these guidelines. Please read carefully and share with any guests who may be visiting the farm.

      General Safety & Conduct

      • Only students with signed waivers may handle, groom, or ride horses. No exceptions. This includes all lessons, camps, and events.

      • No yelling, running, or disruptive behavior near horses or in barn areas. Loud noises and sudden movements can spook horses and cause injury.

      • Do not feed or touch any horse without direct permission from a staff member.

      • Children must remain supervised by an adult until they are checked in by an instructor.

      • Strollers, bikes, scooters, and similar equipment are not permitted near horses or barns.

      • Please supervise all children at all times and do not allow them to enter paddocks or approach horses in turnout areas.

      Drop-Off & Driveway Rules

      • Camp is drop-off only.

      • Drive slowly—5 MPH is the speed limit for the entire driveway and parking lot.

      • Do not park on the grass, block barn entryways, doors, or trailers.

      • No dogs allowed on the property.

      • Pond access is prohibited.

  • Latchkey is available with two weeks’ advance notice at a rate of $20 per hour.
